Certified Turkish ↔ English translation for official documents

A certified translation is not the same as a certified photocopy, notarisation or an apostille. GOV.UK’s translation-certification guidance asks for written confirmation of accuracy, the translation date, and the translator’s full name and contact details.

The UK does not operate a government system of sworn translators. For UK use, organisations generally request a certified translation with an accuracy statement, date, and the translator's name and contact details, as explained in GOV.UK's certification guidance. Requirements can differ, so confirm them with the receiving organisation before ordering.

If you already have an English or multilingual version, check whether the receiving organisation accepts it before ordering another translation. Requirements for a register office, passport application or overseas authority are not interchangeable. If your British citizenship application checklist or a request from the receiving authority asks for a translation of a Turkish document, send that request with the complete document for a quote. Identify it as citizenship or naturalisation work, rather than a family-visa application, so Yesim can review the stated translation scope. The official Form AN guidance is an application reference; this service does not select your evidence, assess eligibility or advise on the application.

A first adult British passport is a separate process. GOV.UK’s first-adult-passport checklist says documents not in English or Welsh need a certified translation. Follow the checklist for your circumstances; this does not mean every Turkish certificate needs translating.

For marriage or civil-partnership notice in England and Wales, GOV.UK says that if you or your partner are from outside the UK, documents not in English need a translation. If you were previously married, the register office also needs evidence of the divorce or your former spouse's death.
